Funny Stories uses anachronism and paradox as tools for questioning our own time. Each scene confronts two different forms of logic: one claims to explain the world, while the other shifts its rules, takes words literally, or pushes a line of reasoning to the point of absurdity. The punchline is never merely comic: it reveals the contradictions concealed behind certainties, conventions, and commonly accepted narratives.

From prehistory to a post-human future, historical figures, myths and speculative scenarios become distorting mirrors of very contemporary concerns: scientific responsibility, colonisation, animal suffering, freedom and ecological collapse. The final revelation, which turns these episodes into the dreams of a spectator who has dozed off, gives their diversity a metatheatrical unity. Theatre thus appears as the place where History can be freely reshaped in order to make the present more visible — and sometimes more disturbing.
